Because of its close proximity to the Pacific Rim and the borderthat it shares with Canada, Alaska is a transshipment point for controlled drugs to the continental U,S and a consumer state. Historically, drug trends documented in the all the other states are eventually documented in the state of Alaska. This includes the growing threat of methamphetamine, Ecstasy, GHB and other "Predatory Drugs." Alaska has the greatest per capita incident of alcoholism, rape, and suicide in the U.S, partially attributable to controlled drug and alcohol abuse.

Alcohol Rehab Treatment Alaska
As you might know, alcohol abuse is costing a lot of money to the state of Alaska. Fortunately, some of that money is going towards treating the alcohol abuse problems by establishing several alcohol treatments. When one searches for an alcohol treatment center, he or she might not find as many as he’d dope for. That is because they are generally referred to as drug rehab centers. The drug rehab centers often treat alcoholism. They call it substance abuse treatment because the program takes care of any sort of abuse. Alcoholism can be treated several ways. Many people that are in the early stages of their alcohol addiction will get over it only by going to group meetings, often called a twelve step program. But if one is deeply addicted to alcohol, some physical effects might come in. That is when a person needs to check in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. The treatment will take care of the person and make sure he recovers from his addiction in a safe way. It prevents people suffering from cravings from hurting themselves and/or others around him.
